Green to clean
Green pool turn arounds for Chandler and Gilbert backyards.
Water you cannot see the steps through, brought back to clear: the bloom killed, the filter cleaned out and the chemistry rebuilt. Some of the work is shock and brushing, and some of it is knowing when a pool needs draining instead.
Chapter 01
How a clear pool turns to soup
Algae is always in the water in small amounts, carried in by wind, rain, leaves and swimmers. What keeps it from blooming is sanitizer that stays at a working level and water that keeps moving through a clean filter. Take away either one and the spores have what they need. In a Chandler summer the margin between clear and green is thin.
Arizona sun and heat burn through chlorine quickly, and warm water feeds algae even faster. That is chlorine demand: the sanitizer you add gets used up fighting what is already growing, so the test reads near zero no matter how much goes in. A stalled pump, a clogged filter or a skimmer basket packed with leaves stops the circulation, and a few missed weeks is all it takes for clear water to turn the color of pea soup.
Owners usually notice it the same way. The steps disappear first, then the walls feel slick underfoot, and the water smells like something other than chlorine. That is the point where a pool needs a turn around, not just another jug poured in at the edge.

How Del Sol works a green pool back to clear
A turn around starts with a water test, because the chemistry decides what goes in. From there the work is shock and algaecide to kill the bloom, then brushing the walls, floor, benches and steps so the dead algae comes off the plaster and into the water where it can be removed. Netting the surface and vacuuming follow, in whatever order that pool calls for.
Dead algae loads a filter fast, so the filter gets a breakdown and cleaning, whether it is cartridge, sand or DE. The pump runs while the water clears, and then the water is retested to see where the chemistry actually landed. If the numbers are off, they are corrected and tested again. Del Sol is a family owned business at 712 N. Newport St. in Chandler, fully licensed, bonded and insured, ROC#275375.
Some pools are too far gone. When the water is so heavy with dissolved solids and old growth that chemistry will not hold, the honest answer is a drain and refill, not another round of shock. Del Sol offers draining services for exactly that, and when you call and describe the pool, the office will tell you which one it needs.
Chapter 03
Keeping it clear after the turn around
A pool that has just been cleared is the easiest one to lose again, because whatever let it go green is still there unless somebody is watching it. Skimmer and pump baskets fill, the filter loads up and the sanitizer drifts down in the heat. Weekly service is the habit that catches each of those in the first week instead of the fourth.
Every weekly visit covers sweeping the walls, benches and steps, netting leaves, emptying and cleaning the pump and skim baskets, an equipment check, water testing and routine chemical addition, and a service slip left detailing the work performed. Weekly service starts at $90 per month for homes in Chandler and Gilbert, and the office at (480) 272-7260 can price your pool.
Del Sol's directory listings call this work Green to Cleans, so if that is the phrase you searched, this is the same service.
